Famous Interior Designer: Victoria Hagan

Victoria Hagan a very successful interior designer has her own design firm called "Victoria Hagan Home" which was started in 2001.“Keep it simple, keep it comfortable, keep it interesting,” Victoria Hagan says about her approach to interior design. “But most important, keep it fun."
Growing up in the Hudson Valley town of Pocantico Hills, New York inspired her since she was little to become an interior designer. After receiving her BFA from the Parsons School of Design in 1984, she apprenticed with interior designer Simone Feldman. When Feldman died in 1991, Hagan established her own New York firm, Victoria Hagan Interiors. "There's just nothing better than being surrounded by the excitement and energy of the city," she says. At the time Hagan was a mother of twin 7 year old boys. Hagan has been tackling interior design for over 20 years. Victoria likes a space to be beautiful but a touch of unexpected. She's been known to place a 1960's dining table by T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings in a room with traditional crown moldings, and she likes molded-fiberglass mod and arts-and-crafts organic. One project that Victoria did was creating a feminine leather screen, for her home collection. She also crated her own furniture line. What inspires me about this artist is how well know she is. I hope that one day i can be as well known as she is. Her clean and crisp sense of style as well as the modern look her design gives is only what i hope to achieve as a designer. Also, I inspire that she has her "signature" piece or thing that shows her om is designed by her and no one else. I aspire to be as successful of a designer as Victoria is!

Welcome!

Welcome to Carianne Campione's blog! I am a senior at Victor Senior High School and am enrolled in and have taken several art classes such as Functional, drawing and painting, ceramics, studio art, photography and sculpture. After finishing high school I plan on attending MCC for 2 years and then transferring possibly to Philadelphia or NYC for interior design.
I have always been interested in art since i was little. I enjoy watching HDTV my favorite show is cake boss. I know how to sew and somewhat how to knit. I am also experienced in theater arts. I have been in several dramas for my church. I also enjoy camping. I am currently involved in the Outdoor Activities Club at school. We have taken 2 trips to the Adirondacks and going on our 3rd in may. In my spare time i enjoy making jewelry and scrap booking. Pretty much anything artsy i enjoy doing. I painted a mural over the past 2 years of my favorite artist Romero Britto.
My goal for this blog is for people to view my projects and works of art and give me ideas and feedback. I also want it to be a place to express myself and my growth as a designer the rest of this year as well as into my college years.
